Furnishings for A Christmas Story's Bumpus House Returned to 1940's Glory
2018-12-12 November 27, 2018 - When the folks from A Christmas Story House decided to open the next-door neighbor’s house for rental, they called Sheldon Myeroff of Chagrin Valley Custom Furniture (CVCF) to restore, repair, and recreate vintage 1940's-style furniture for the house located in the Tremont District of Cleveland, Ohio. A Christmas Story is an iconic movie from 1983, filmed in Cleveland, that has become a holiday classic.

Get involved in the Neighbornood Food Drive!
2018-11-27 This year, Central Tremont is inviting other block clubs to engage in "friendly competitions" to see which group could bring in the most donations for three (3) categories in the annual Tremont/Duck Island/Irishtown Bend Holiday Food Drive - of nonperishable food items and paper products along with cash and checks. The ultimate goal is to help food pantries, like St. Augustine, Pilgrim, St. John Cantius, St. Michael, Immanuel Lutheran, St. Malachi, Westside Catholic Center, and Greater Cleveland Food Bank to feed our near west families and children in need in the holiday season. The "Grand Prize Winner" for the 2017/2018 challenge was Central Tremont - therefore, they are issuing the challenge for the upcoming 2018/2019 season.

Tremont's newest Community Art Project - "Seasons & Cycles" at the Gathering Place on Professor
2018-10-24 Tremont's latest community art project, "Seasons and Cycles," installed June of 2018, is a colorful place maker in the form of a seating wall and planting bed on Professor Avenue in front of Tremont General Store.

Celebrate Tremont 2018, Presented by Gustave Development
2018-09-04 What do you get when you combine hors d'oeuvres and dinner? An open bar with beer, wine and liquor? Entry into a drawing for $1,500 in prize giveaways? Live entertainment with Pinch and Squeal (part Vaudeville, circus and variety show). Sideboards and a silent auction? And all for only $100? You get Celebrate Tremont, the annual benefit dinner to help raise funds to ensure Tremont remains the vibrant urban village it is today, while also supporting the Cleveland Animal Protective League (APL). Celebrate Tremont is Saturday, October 6, from 6:30 to 11 p.m. at the Tremont City Side Ballroom at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church.
